Rainfall and water yield in Macizo del Caroig, Eastern Iberian Peninsula. Event runoff at plot scale during a rare flash flood at the Barranco de Benacancil

Floods are a consequence of extreme rainfall events. Although surface runoff generation is the origin discharge, flood research usually focuses on lowlands where impact higher. Runoff and sediment delivery at slope pedon scale receiving much less attention in effort to understand behaviour time space. This especially relevant areas where, due climatic hydrogeological conditions, streams ephemeral, so-called dry rivers (“wadis”, "ramblas" or “barrancos”) that widespread throughout Mediterranean. paper researches relationship between water with river floods Macizo del Caroig, Eastern Iberian Peninsula.
